Mucke mit Tücke!

[Mücke Mit Tücke]

Bonjour,

An animal duel for 3-6 speedy players from 6 years of age!

Here’s how it goes: All cards are shuffled and distributed facedown. Each player receives the same number of cards, with any extra cards set to the side. Players put their cards facedown in front of them. The person who shuffled begins. He turns over his top card and places it in front of his pile on the table so that all players can simultaneously see the card. Players follow, in a clockwise direction, by also turning over the top card of their pile. When a player flips over another card, it is placed on top of any other cards that have already been revealed.

Watch out! If two cards show the same value or have two of the same animals on them, the two owners of these cards must react. If the values are the same, players must make the animal noise of the OTHER PLAYER’S animal. For example, Linda has a cow with the value 8 showing, and Ella reveals a donkey with a value of 8. Linda must “i-ah” and Ella must call “muh”. If the cards show the same animals, then players call out the value of the card (e.g. Ella has a cow with the value 3, and Linda turns over a cow with the value 6. Linda must call “three and Ella calls “six”). The player who correctly calls out first takes the face-up cards of their opponent and puts them together with his own face-up deck, shuffling them and placing them back under their facedown card deck. If the fastest player made an error, the other (second fastest) player receives the cards.

Once the contest is over, play resumes with the player who won cards. If two players are equally fast, nothing happens and the play continues with the next player. In the case of a three-way contest, again, the fastest player receives the cards from both of his rivals. If a player has revealed his last card, they remain in front of him and the other players skip him when revealing cards (but he still participates in contests). If all players’ cards are uncovered, everyone may pick up their face-up cards, reshuffle, and return them as their facedown pile. The play continues then normally. If a player loses all his cards, he is out of the game.

Special hand cards: Players, get ready to slap! As soon as one or more hand cards are uncovered, all players slap at the largest mosquito (the highest-value face-up card with a mosquito). The largest mosquito is on the card with the highest value. Note: There are cards on which small mosquitoes are shown in addition to another animal; these count for purposes of largest mosquito, as well as the larger mosquito-only cards. The winner takes all face-up cards from the other players, adding them to his face-up cards and then placing them at the bottom of his facedown pile.

If playing with four players, the game ends when a player (with 5-6 players, when two players) has no more cards. The player with the most cards is the winner; in the case of a tie, the tied player with the most mosquitoes (small and large) wins.

Note! Unfortunately a red cat (numerical value 1) with mad cow disease crept into the game! It says “Muh” instead of “Miau”. Please remove this card from the game; doing this does not impact game play.

Merci Teuf. e vais faire avec.
