FEBRUARY 07, 2014 (Hillside, NJ) – Adding to the excitement of the recently announced Tyranny of Dragons from Wizards of the Coast, WizKids Games, a division of National Entertainment Collectibles Association, Inc., is excited to announce an all-new line of pre-painted miniatures for Dungeons & Dragons. The first set of miniatures will coincide with the launch of the highly-anticipated next edition of Dungeons & Dragons tabletop roleplaying game, set to release in summer 2014.
“We are very excited at the opportunity to join the party and work with our friends at Wizards of the Coast to enrich the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop experience for adventurers worldwide,” said Justin Ziran, President of WizKids. “With all the tools WizKids brings to the table, we figure this partnership will be a critical hit,” said WizKids Director of Business and Legal Affairs Alexis Mueller.
The new line of Dungeons & Dragons miniatures will feature creatures and characters that players have come to know and love, allowing them to wage their battles and experience their adventures with a greater level of immersion and tactical interplay.
“This year is going to be the biggest in Dungeons & Dragons’ history,” said Nathan Stewart, Brand Director for Dungeons & Dragons. “It’s important for us to work with strong partners such as WizKids to ensure fantastic Tyranny of Dragons experiences for all D&D fans.”

WizKids to Produce New Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures

A figure of Drizzt Do'urden, the famous R.A. Salvatore character, is among the prepainted lineup.
WizKids announced today that they would be producing a line of prepainted Dungeons & Dragons miniatures under license from Wizards of the Coast to go along with this summer's Tyranny of Dragons crossover event. The minis will be sculpted by the same team that makes the HeroClix and Pathfinder Battles miniatures, so consumers should expect about the same level of quality. According to a representative of WizKids, the packs of miniatures will come in both visible and blind packs at prices between $15.99 and $29.99. The Attack Wing: Dungeons and Dragons sets, based on the Star Trek Attack Wing game from WizKids, will make their debut along with the full range of D&D miniatures at this year's Gen Con and New York Toy Fair this year. "Think of Gen Con as the coming out party for our D&D line," said a WizKids representative on Reddit. That makes sense, because Wizards of the Coast's own untitled new edition of Dungeons & Dragons will debut at Gen Con this year.
The Attack Wing: Dungeons and Dragons game has very sparse details at the moment, but it was described by the company as a "miniatures skirmish game" of "dragons fighting dragons... and MORE!" Here's hoping for some spelljammers thrown in.
The line of figures not associated with the Attack Wing spinoff will be directly inspired by what's happening in Wizards' own Tyranny of Dragons storylines, which will likely be published as adventures for D&D. "This year is going to be the biggest in Dungeons & Dragons' history," said Nathan Stewart, Brand Director for Dungeons & Dragons in a press release. "It's important for us to work with strong partners such as WizKids to ensure fantastic Tyranny of Dragons experiences for all D&D fans." The set includes a figure of at least one iconic fan-favorite character, Drizzt Do'Urden, and a Wizkids representative said that others would be included. As to the possibility of a giant Tiamat, Queen of Evil Dragons, miniature the same representative said "We can neither confirm, nor deny..."
Given Tiamat's status as the ultimate enemy of Tyranny of Dragons, and the existence of a $29.99 "Case Incentive Promotional Figure" in WizKids' pricing plans, we'll take that as a confirmation there's a five-headed dragon queen miniature in our future. Additionally, WizKids did hint that it's possible there could be D&D minis on clix bases sometime in the future, but no plans for that are in action right now. pas le système de socle heroclix?
bon cela ressemble beaucoup a l'ancien d&d mini du coup,c'est juste wizkids qui s'occupe de ça maintenant.Pour les figs,j'attends de voir,mais a mon avis faudra pas s'attendre a des trucs déments.
J'aurai aimé plus de news sur des nouveaux jeux de plateaux d&d system,mais bon faut sans doute attendre la 5 ieme version du jdr pour ça,qui ne devrait plus tarder.(Il y a eu des echos dessus?cela s'annonce comment ?)
Intéressé. J'allais d'ailleurs ressortir mon ancienne version et paf je lis ça ce matin.
Par contre : Four-Figure Booster: $15.99 => avant, les boosters étaient au même prix avec le double de figs il me semble ?
Je ne connais D&D mini que de nom est ce que quelqu un pourrait m eclairer sur ce que c'est exactement?

C'est un peu comme les figurines à collectionner pour "Pathfinder battles", non ?

En relisant la news ,il semblerait bien qu'il y a aussi des règles d'escarmouche avec,comme pour la v4.
Par contre j'ignore les changements entre la v4 et la v5.

je croyait que tout avait été abandonné avec la v4, je ne connais pas du tout la v5

si si la v5 arrive,et elle en beta test (ouvert?) depuis un moment.
Après je ne sais pas si elle est très attendue mais elle arrive.
Moi je rêve toujours d'un jeu de plateau a la descent dans l'univers d&d,un vrai truc avec du budget et de l'ambition,pas un jeu pour s'initier aux règles du jdr (comme les d&d system,qui sont super sympas,mais on sent que le budget était pas folichon et le tout reste limité dans son envergure),des boites de campagnes qui vont avec etc.
Mais bon il y a peu de chance que cela arrive
Dommage,y aurait moyen de faire un vrai dungeon crawler emblématique avec tout ça.

En fait c'est ce que je pensais qu etait D&D mini mais je me suis fait une fausse joie
Non mais il y a bien des règles avec D&D minis, c'est du combat tactique en escarmouche sur des plateaux à cases (en papier).
C'est le prédécesseur de Dungeon Command, sauf que le système se joue au D20 et pas avec des cartes. Chacun se monde son groupe de combat en fonction du nombre de points alloués au scénar, et zou. je vous ai dit que c'était super bien ? Non ? Eh ben c'est super bien .
haaa bah voila du coup j'ai quelques questions je les balance comme elles viennent: les règles sont complexe? on peut jouer a combien? on peut jouer dans des décors type donjons(la je sens bien que question est con)? ou trouve t'on les scénars? y a t il des scénars a objectifs autres que poutrer celui d en face?
