no matter what level you pledge at, during the campaign you’ll receive a file of 16 different colored game boards that you can print off. You’ll need to supply your own tokens and pawns but it gives you the game board to play on rather than using part of a Checkers or Chess board. Plus, each board prints off onto a regular letter sized piece of paper.
Stac is an abstract strategy game of grid movement and set collection that has simple rules like those found in Checkers but deep strategy found in games like Chess or Go.
Played on a 5x5 grid, each player has one pawn that he or she will use to build and claim stacks as well as block his or her opponent from doing the same.
The goal is to be the first player to claim 4 three-high stacks of black tokens or be the player with the most stacks when no further moves can be made.
The rules of Stac are quite simple:
1) On your turn, move your pawn horizontally or vertically, like a rook in Chess.
2) Choose whether or not you want to carry a token with you to build a stack.
3) If you carry a token to a stack of two tokens, you claim that stack.
4) Claim 4 three-high stacks to win.
Sounds easy, right? Well it would be if your opponent wasn’t racing to do the exact same thing. For some reason, your opponent wants to win so they’ll use their pawn to block your moves and carry tokens across the board to create and claim stacks too.

For both the $15 and $50 pledge levels, European Union backers, please add $15 to your pledge. All other international backers, please add $20 to your pledge. For the $250 level, shipping is included.
I know shipping outside the United States is ridiculously expensive, so I apologize for the cost. I was originally going to make this a US only campaign but decided that if people are willing to pay the shipping, I would include that option. If this campaign becomes wildly popular, there are some options that can mitigate the costs.
Each game comes in a drawstring bag that is printed on both sides. One side shows the name of the game and the other shows the game board and company logo. The logo will be updated with our new one before the bags are printed. The bag also doubles as the storage for the 33 tokens, 2 meeples, and rules sheet.
