est il possible d’avoir un peu plus d’infos… ?
Pas facile de trouver des infos à part un avis sur BGG:
The game:
Sniper reminds me of risk… Everybody gets a card with his own objective to elimate a certain color or control an area. With a team of 1 sniper and 4 agents you try to accomplish your objective. Unfortunately this can result in a really short game sometimes when you just need to control the area where you start or one adjacent to it. When that happens we just restart the game and give everyone a new objective.
The cool thing about the sniper in your team is that you can make him “invisible”. You take him off the board and keep track of his movements in a small book. Of course there can be cheated with this, but you should not play this with cheaters. When your sniper is in position, you can reveal him and shoot.
Every player also has a few cards that have some special movements or actions. These cards are really powerful and should be used at the right moment. You can for example prevent the death of one of your agents (or sniper) or recruit a new agent.
Components:
All components are of good quality. It’s only hard to see the difference between normal agents and your sniper. But most of the time the sniper is invisible, so that doesn’t really matter.
Player count:
This game should NOT be played with 2 players. With 2 players you probably get an objective that is really easy and the game will last only 5 minutes. With 3 players this occurs a lot of times, but the game could turn out well. You should just play this game with 4 players. The chance that the game will last 5 minutes is really low and you often have a good time. Down time is not too long with 4 players and the game plays good.
Learnability:
This game has some rules that are a bit hard to explain. There are a lot of specific situations that need to be explained and a lot of people will easily forget them. There are just so much specific things about when a turn ends, when you can do certain things and when you can play your cards that you just forget. There are no things that remind you of it and I think this game is just missing a reference card to remind you of these things. However, this reference card will turn into the actual rule book quite fast. Sometimes it’s just easier to play with less rules and just accept certain actions.
Replayability:
Every game is different and you will probably have a different objective everytime you play. I think the replayability of this game is not high, but also not low. You can compare it with risk, although risk has a random setup, that this game doesn’t have.
Worth owning?
I don’t know… There are probably better games around and learning this game can be hard. If you play a lot with 4 players and want something different than risk but with the same concept, you might want to try this. In the end it’s all up to you, but I won’t recommend this game. Even though I have had some fun with this game.
