Super traduction. C'est meilleur que l'original ! Merci.
Here's a second report of the very same test, by another player (Ilium)
Many thanks to Goreto to come as far as Rennes to make this possible. We were the happy few to play that, which enabled to chat a lot about the project, or the board game industry... and on top of this, to actually get to try the actual game!

I played Conan, Hadoken was Valeria, Kran starred as Shevatas and DocSavage the dreaded Overlord.

We had the privilege to play with the "real" Giant Snake, and I won't stress enough this mini is something!

It was an epic game... A tale that'll be told to my child's children, and beyond.
Goreto was helping one side or another at times, throwing in interesting strategies throughout the game (hey, we were newbies, and impressed)
The heroes started pretty badly with a double strategy (let's save a couple villagers, THEN go for the snake), which was pretty much a disaster.
The overlord was laughing maniacally at us for a long while as we struggled, but Goreto (who thought the game was too one sided) gave great hints that refocused us on ONE objective : saving the villagers.
The Overlord had already claimed 4 of the 5 victims he needed, while we had only saved 4 villagers.
In a last, desparate move (Valerai and Shevatas on the brink of death pushed further in spite of certain death they faced), we managed to regroup all remaining villagers and protect them from the dastardly giant creature.

The final turn was as tight as it could have been.
Conan dropped all of his equipment, including weapons, to make a run for it carrying two villagers in his strong ams. Shevatas ended up dying, and Valeria managed to crawl out of the village carrying the last its inhabitants with her very final energy gem, the one she gained when her companion passed away.
The total length of the game was 2 hours, but we spoke a lot about this and that in a joyful tone, which made it longer than it really was.
In the end, while i was pretty sure i'd pledge for this game, this game night removed any last trace of doubt I had. Honestly, i even dreamed of the game the following night.
By no means am I a big board game hoarder; i'm pretty picky, in fact. But this mix of board and role playing game, the strategical choices we had to make, and this incredibly efficient energy gems system completely sold it to me.
Oh, and did I mention the awesomely balanced Overlord? Or the wonderful minis the game will come with?
Thanks again to Goreto (you're welcome whenever you want, lad), and good luck to Monolith for the reminder of the project's development.
