Delas A Train a dit :
For those not familiar with Spanish. I'm going to try to sumarize, briefly, the contents of the interview.
The first part of the interview with the owner of the firm running this project, was focused on knowing the person. He's been also a player of HQ and interested on modelism since he was a kid. I imagine you're not really interested on this part, but it was good to know that this guy had, at least, the respect for the game.
The rest of the interview was more focused on how the idea of getting the license and starting the project started, why there has been such a delay, why there hasn't been official information about it and, finaly, where the project is currently.
Apparently, the problems with Hasbro and the original creators, and the problems with Kickstarter and Verkami have nothing to do with the delay.
Apparently, they were expecting to have a demand of 500 or 1000 games, and they were prepared to asume that lot. When the success was outstanding, eventhough, it seems they decided not to limit the number of donors. Quite the opposite, they decided that it was better to accept whatever the numbers and, then, ask for an extra loan, to upgrade their quarters and do even more games, so, they could sell them to regular customers and then, finaly, get some benefits, apart of the obvious boost to the firm. So, it seems that those 700k € weren't enough and that the money has been long ago spent, and even more.
Apparently, the delay is due to the lack of time to finish all the games for the donnors on December 2014. When they realized they were not in time, they decided to stop. Instead of finishing whatever they had in that moment and deliver it as soon as possible, they thought: "Hey, we're late. Let's check everything and do it better. We're late, so, it doesn't mind if we're some months or some years late". Apparently, they've been working on the game ALL this time.
What me, personaly, I couldn't understand (I don't know if due to the lack of the information or because it's never said in the interview) is WHAT THE HELL they've done or what are they going to do with the material they were working from December 2013 and December 2014. Dionisio (the bald man in the video, that seems he's the boss of the firm) said that the material was decent or good, but not excellent. And, as they were already late, now they had the opportunity to upgrade things from good to excellent. Ok. You can agree or not onto that, but... what has become of the material that wasn't excellent? It's in the bin? Has been already sold? It was burned? It was buried? Or there's not physical material at all? He said that he was close to acomplish the date of December of 2014, but not close enough. I'm sorry but with this I got a bit lost. The man doesn't speak openly, never being enough concrete (in my opinion).
Apparently, the man thought it was not necessary to give further information about the project than the info they did provide. But, he understands now, after all the problems, mails from donors, etc. they were wrong. They understand now they had to be a bit more transparent and give more info about the project. But this man recognizes he doesn't like to talk too much about his work. He prefers working. And he says he's really bad communicating, apologizing and assuming critics.
Apparenty, although the man doesn't want to give a concrete date, he said, literaly: "This Christmas (of 2016) you'll be already bored of playing HQ 25th anniversary". So, it seems that quite before December, we will already have the game.
On the interview, there was always talk of "later I'll show you the comparison of the original and old designs and the ones we have at the moment" as a willing to show the upgrade to the designs we saw during the Kickstarter and the far more better designs and figures they were working with now. But the interview was filmed with a mobile phone and there was no memory enough to caption all that, it seems.
I'm sorry I can't subtitle, but I don't have time working on my nigh shift. I hope you guys get, at least, an idea of what was spoken here.
